Notice to Alan Schwarz – You Forgot Super Mario Galaxy

December 1, 2008 by MomentsMom

As I sipped my morning coffee today, I chuckled as I read an article entitled, “Space Invaders, You’ve Met Your Match.” Space Invaders was one of my first loves in the gaming world. I remember feeding rolls full of quarters into the stand-alone game kiosk.  Ahh…those were the days.

NOT! What a waste of quarters! You can buy the game as an iPhone app now for under five dollars.

In the article, Alan Schwarz describes the role that the Wii has played in his life, as it calls to him to try some of today’s amazing video games.

Getting further into the article, however, I was surprised that most of the games Schwartz mentioned were … hmm … how to say this … not my favorites.

“Dude!” I thought to myself, “What about Super Mario Galaxy? Why have you not yet tried SMG??” Come on, man, you played Ms. Pac Man!? Don’t brush this off as a game that will leave you feeling, as you described, “infantilized.”

This guy needs a bit of assistance (which I’d be happy to provide) to find better games that will make him love the Wii.  At a minimum, he must. try. Super Mario Galaxy.

Mario can fly!!

Then we’ll see what he says.

Alan?

Uh, Mr. Schwarz??
