When You Hear a Catchy Tune…

May 18, 2008 by MomentsMom

Do you love it when a song sticks in your head? Maybe it depends on the song, eh? Well, someone recently Twittered about the fact that he couldn’t get this song out of his mind. I looked it up on YouTube and, especially after seeing the video, I feel the same way. It’s fun, uplifting and infectious. After you watch it, let me know whether you agree:

I’ll be over here…dancing…and singing…
"I’m a new soul…"

Don’t know about Twitter ? Read this .

The song? It’s called New Soul by Yael Naim. Did you notice the duck in the "Best Friends" box?

as a rule I am not an apple guy, but they do have a knack for picking solid tunes for their commercials.

Ha! I’m glad I was thinking right, and was confirmed by PG. When I clicked it I thought, “This sounds like an Apple commercial”.

It also sounds a bit like Feist, who is another Apple ad alum. I like this song alot.

I just wrote a tidbit about this habit yesterday! It doesn’t matter what the tune, I’m singing it a few minutes later!

I like your writing style; clear, concise, yet warm.

I’m intrigued about the podcasting you do with your daughter. My daughter and I wrote a neighborhood newspaper for two years and now have a website for the neighborhood. We love doing things together (even though she’s 13!) and I’m milking that for all it’s worth while it lasts. Off to check out your podcasts….

    @ PG:
Wha?! Is that a “forever and I’m stickin’ to it” kind of pledge? Cause, dude, if that’s the case, we have to talk… ;-)

    @ Melisa:
Yep. It’s infectious isn’t it? Makes me feel happy, too.

    @ HPKT:
Thanks! It’s so much fun. Let me know if you have any questions or want to get one started. I’d be happy to help!

No use Soapy! I am nothing if not stubborn. Well, lets say steadfast. That sounds more positive!

Okay, PG. I won’t even try. But, let me tell ya’ I used to say the same thing… ;-)
