It's Good to Be Home

March 23, 2008 by MomentsMom

We’re back from spring break!

And it never fails…

As much as we might love getting away from home and going on vacation, we always love being back home. Sleeping in our own beds, showering in our own bathrooms, and hearing the creaks and familiar sounds of our house and neighborhood gives us a sense of stability and security.

I breathe a sigh filled with comfort and calm.

There truly is…no place like home.

I’ll post pictures from our trip soon.

I couldn’t agree more. As much fun as a vacation can be, it’s a lot of work with kids! Sometimes, I’d rather stay home to do my relaxing.

Can’t wait to hear about your trip and see your photos. I totally get what you mean about coming home. As it is, we travel with both sound machines and my pillow, so hard is it for me to adjust to not being at home.
We just got back from just a weekend trip and both rob and I are sprawled on the bed, just saying AAaaaaaah!

    Hugs,
    Leeann

ah, sleeping in your own bed. Truly one of the simple pleasures in life. However, the end of a vacation usually means being awakened from your own bed by your own alarm the next morning, to go to your own job. blah.

    BUT, I am glad you’re back :)

Soooo true. That first night in your own bed is magic. Especially true if you don’t get back home ’til late. Glad everyone had safe travels! Welcome home.

Amen to that. I absolutely LOVE coming home to my own bed after a vacation. Of course I wish I experienced that more often. ;-)
